Beijing, October 15th—Qian Hongshan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today on the morning with the 6th Leading Cadres Study Group of Vietnamese Political Parties and Governments from 2016-2020 headed by Trương Hồng Hải, Deputy Director of the Economic Security Department under the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam.

Highly affirming the exchanges and cooperation between the two Parties and the two countries in recent years, Qian pointed out that China and Vietnam have similar opportunities and challenges in the face of the complex and changeable regional and international situation. The Chinese side is willing to, together with the Vietnamese side, continue promoting the look-forwarding development of China-Vietnam comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership. This year marks the 40th anniversary of China’s reform and opening up. It is hoped that the Vietnamese side will truly understand China’s work in relevant aspects in a more comprehensive manner through this visit to promote both sides to better learn from each other.

Congratulating on China’s great achievements over the past four decades, Trương noted that Vietnam should well grasp this study chance to earnestly learn from the experience and practices of the Chinese side.

Comrades of relevant departments of the IDCPC International Exchange Center and the Party School of the CPC Central Committee (Chinese Academy of Governance) as well as personnel from the Vietnamese Embassy in China were present.
