MPP Chairman and Prime Minister and SGH Chairman of Mongolia Meet with Li Hongzhong

Ulaanbaatar, October 22nd--Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh, Chairman of Mongolian People's Party (MPP) and Prime Minister of Mongolia, and Miyegombo Enkhbold, Chairman of the State Great Hural (SGH) of Mongolia, met on separate occasions with Li Hongzhong, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the CPC Tianjin Municipal Committee.

Li expressed that attaching high importance to China-Mongolia relations, the CPC and the Chinese government have always placed the relations between the two countries on an important position in its neighborhood diplomacy. President Xi Jinping paid a successful visit to Mongolia in 2014, and upgraded China-Mongolia relations to comprehensive strategic partnership, charting the course for the development of the relations between both countries. Since the beginning of this year, leaders of both countries have held several meetings, and reached a series of important consensus on deepening China-Mongolia relations, which has constantly enhanced political mutual trust between the two countries and further accelerated the integration of development strategies. The Chinese side is willing to comprehensively implement the concept of amity, sincerity, mutual benefit and inclusiveness, and well implement the important consensus reached by leaders of both countries with the Mongolian side, so as to elevate China-Mongolia comprehensive strategic partnership to a new stage.

Speaking highly of the great achievements made by the Chinese people under the leadership of the CPC Central Committee with General Secretary Xi Jinping at the core since the 18th CPC National Congress, Khürelsükh and Enkhbold expressed that in recent years, Mongolia-China relations have enjoyed smooth development, with fruitful results from exchanges and cooperation in various fields. The Mongolian side stands ready to, together with the Chinese side, consolidate the political foundation for relations between the two countries, integrate the development strategies of both countries in an in-depth manner, and facilitate bilateral practical cooperation in various fields, so as to better benefit the two peoples.

At the invitation of the Cabinet Secretariat of the Government of Mongolia, Li headed the CPC delegation to visit Mongolia from October 21st to 24th. During the visit, Li also met respectively with U. Enkhtuvshin, Deputy Prime Minister; Zandanshatar Gombojav, Head of Cabinet Secretariat; Damdin Tsogtbaatar, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Sodnomzundui Erdene, Chairman of Mongolian Democratic Party, and jointly attended the signing ceremony of relevant cooperation projects with Mongolian leaders.
