PTI Chairman and Prime Minister of Pakistan Meets with Song Tao

Beijing, November 2nd--Imran Khan, Chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Prime Minister of Pakistan, who was paying an official visit to China, met here today with Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee.

Song expressed that President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Imran Khan held a successful meeting today, reaching important consensus on comprehensively developing relations between the two countries. As ruling parties of the two countries, the CPC is willing to, together with the PTI, well implement the important consensus of leaders of the two countries, enhance high-level exchanges between both Parties, deepen mutual learning of experience on party governance and state administration, and promote practical cooperation in the construction of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and other areas, in a bid to further cement the foundation of friendship between the two countries.

Speaking highly of the successful meeting with President Xi Jinping, Imran Khan expressed that it will not only play a new and important promotion role in the development of relations between both countries, but will provide a new and important opportunity for exchanges between the CPC and the PTI. Imran Khan noted that the PTI appreciates the CPC’s great achievements in practicing strict self-governance, poverty relief and other areas, and is willing to deeply research and learn from the CPC’s successful experience, so as to inject new impetus into the development of Pakistan-China relations through strengthening communication and cooperation between the two Parties.
