Nay Pyi Taw, November 7th—Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with Than Htay, Chairman of the Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP) of Myanmar.

Song said that attaching great importance to developing China-Myanmar relations, China is willing to carry forward traditional friendship and intensify mutually beneficial cooperation. The CPC will enhance friendly exchanges with main political parties in Myanmar including the USDP to promote the relations between the two countries for sound and stable development.

Than Htay said that the USDP supports Myanmar-China friendship, and stands ready to continue to deepen exchanges and cooperation with the CPC and learn from China’s experience in party governance and state administration, in a bid to promote the constant and forward-looking development of the relations between the two countries.
