Li Jun Meets with Minister of Interior of Uruguay

Beijing, November 8th—Li Jun, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today on the morning with Eduardo Bonomi, leader of the Broad Front and Minister of Interior of Uruguay.

Speaking positively of the substantial development of bilateral cooperation in various fields since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Uruguay over the past three decades, Li expressed that China stands ready to enhance all-round cooperation between the two countries under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative. The CPC is willing to continue strengthening exchanges with the Broad Front to boost the sustainable and healthy development of China-Uruguay strategic partnership.

Bonomi spoke highly of China’s profound culture and traditions as well as the process of modernization, and praised the CPC on its achievements in strengthening Party discipline in an all-round way. He noted that the Broad Front is willing to learn the experience on state administration and governance from the CPC to promote economic and social development of Uruguay.
