Beijing, November 19th—Guo Yezhou, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with the 2nd young leaders delegation of the Nationalist Party of Malta led by Carmelo Mifsud Bonnici, Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Shadow Cabinet of the Nationalist Party.

Speaking positively of the substantial development of bilateral relations achieved since the two countries established diplomatic relations more than 40 years ago, Guo expressed that China treasures China-Malta traditional friendship, and the CPC is willing to, together with the Nationalist Party and other mainstream political parties in Malta, enhance communication and push practical cooperation in various fields, so as to promote bilateral relations for sustained and forward-looking development.

Speaking highly of the great development achievements achieved by China in its reform and opening-up over the past 40 years, Bonnici noted that Malta is ready to deepen party-to-party dialogue and enhance exchanges and mutual learning, in a bid to propel relations between the two countries to develop in an in-depth manner.
