 ( 2018.12.04 )

On December 4th, the 2nd BRICS Political Parties Plus Dialogue was opened in Tshwane, South Africa. President Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa attended and addressed the Dialogue. With the theme of “Towards Building a Common Agenda, Inclusive Development and Multilateralism in the 4th Industrial Revolution”, the Dialogue was attended by nearly 200 representatives of over 30 political parties from BRICS and developing countries. Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended and addressed the opening ceremony.

Song said that at the BRICS Johannesburg Summit, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee and President Xi Jinping pointed out the historic significance of the industrial revolution to the development of human society in a profound manner. The Dialogue shares the same root with the BRICS Johannesburg Summit, and takes a key step towards institutionalization of the dialogue among BRICS political parties. History has proved that the industrial revolution has promoted an in-depth development of the global economy and globalization, providing development opportunities for all countries and bringing profound changes in politics of political parties. China calls on all political parties in all countries to uphold openness and cooperation, maintain multilateralism, propel common development and make new contributions to the building of a community with a shred future for mankind together.
