Song Tao Meets with LREM General Delegate

Paris, December 10th—Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with Stanislas Guerini, General Delegate of the La République En Marche (LREM).

Song congratulated Guerini on his election as the LREM General Delegate. Song said that China-France relations are an embodiment of the concept of harmonious coexistence and win-win cooperation between countries of different historical cultures, social systems, and development levels. China is willing to work with France to take the opportunity of the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France next year, continue to intensify high-level exchanges between the two sides, and promote exchanges and cooperation in various fields, to and push China-France relations to a new level. Song emphasized that the exchanges between the ruling parties are of great significance to the development of state relations. The CPC attaches importance to the establishment and development of inter-party relations with the LREM. It is hoped that the two sides will work together to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state and actively carry out exchanges and dialogues to promote the sustained and sound development of China-France relations.

Guerini spoke highly of China's economic and social development achievements. He said that France adheres to the multilateralism and is willing to develop friendly relations with all countries in the world. The relations with China are the key priority of French foreign policy. The LREM is willing to actively carry out exchanges with the CPC, enhance mutual understanding, and strengthen exchanges of experience in state governance and administration to consolidate the political foundation for the development of France-China relations.
