Song Tao Meets with Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan

Beijing, February 21st—Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with Chingiz Aidarbekov,  Foreign Minister of the Kyrgyzstan.

Song said that Kyrgyzstan and China are friendly neighbors. Last year, President Xi Jinping and visiting President President Sooronbay Jeenbekov jointly upgraded China-Kyrgyzstan relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership and reached broad consensus on deepening bilateral pragmatic cooperation. The CPC attaches great importance to developing friendly relations with all political parties in Kyrgyzstan and is willing to enhance exchanges of experience in state governance and administration with Kyrgyzstan, promote respective domestic development and development of bilateral relations and implement the consensus reached by the two heads of state. I would like to establish a good working relationship with you, continue to promote bilateral cooperation under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative and fight against the "three evil forces" through inter-party communication channels.

Aidarbekov said that promoting the development of Kyrgyzstan-China comprehensive strategic partnership is the priority of Kyrgyzstan's foreign policy. The Kyrgyz side is ready to strengthen integration and cooperation with China under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, promote exchanges between political parties and the CPC, and firmly support China's position on issues concerning China's core interests.

Qian Hongshan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended the meeting.
