Beijing, March 15th—Qian Hongshan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today on the morning with Bobur Usmanov, Uzbek Deputy Secretary of the National Security Council.

Speaking positively of China-Uzbekistan relations, Qian hoped that both sides will work together to push the building of the Belt and Road Initiative and strengthen exchanges and cooperation between the political parties of the two countries under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, so as to promote constant development of China-Uzbekistan comprehensive strategic partnership.

Usmanov expressed that the Uzbek side highly praises and actively participates in the Belt and Road Initiative and stands ready to learn from China’s experience in reform and opening up and work together with the Chinese side to well implement the consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, in a bid to constantly deepen bilateral relations.
