Beijing, March 18th—Guo Yezhou, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with a delegation led by Mushahid Hussain Sayed, Leader of the Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) (PML-N) and Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee of Pakistan.

Guo made positive comments on China-Pakistan relations, saying that the CPC enjoys profound traditional friendship with the PML-N and hopes that the two Parties will continue to maintain friendly exchanges and make new and greater contributions to the all-weather strategic cooperative partnership between China and Pakistan and the construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Mushahid expressed that the PML-N attaches great importance to the role of inter-party exchanges in deepening Pakistan-China relations and is willing to strengthen communication with China and make political parties’ contributions to pushing for more achievements in the construction of the CPEC.

Both sides also exchanged views on jointly well holding the 1st meeting of the CPEC Political Parties Joint Consultation Mechanism.
