Manila, March 28th—Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with Hermogenes Esperon, National Security Adviser of the Philippine President.

Song said that President Xi Jinping and President Rodrigo Duterte have firmly grasped the right direction of bilateral relations and China-Philippines relations have reached a new level. China is ready to work with the Philippines to continuously enhance strategic mutual trust, expand mutually beneficial cooperation, properly manage differences and push for continuous progress in bilateral relations.

Esperon said that the Philippines regards China as an important cooperative partner and will adhere to its friendly policy towards China, strengthen strategic communication with China, deepen pragmatic cooperation, continuously enhance understanding and trust and consolidate the momentum of sound development of bilateral relations.
