Beijing, March 29th—Qian Hongshan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today on the afternoon with Friedrich Stift, Austrian Ambassador to China.

Qian made positive comments on China-Austria relations and expressed willingness to continue to strengthen exchanges with all major political parties of Austria so as to consolidate the political foundation for advancing bilateral cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative and deepening China-Austria friendly strategic partnership.

Stift said that Austria attaches great importance to developing relations with China and participating in the Belt and Road Initiative. The Austrian Embassy in China is ready to play an active role in closer exchanges between the political parties of the two countries.
