Namibian president meets CPC delegation

WINDHOEK, April 5  -- Namibian President Hage Geingob has met here with a Communist Party of China (CPC) delegation led by Bayinchaolu, member of the CPC Central Committee and the secretary of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee.

Namibian Vice President Nangolo Mbumba was also present at the meeting held on Thursday.

Geingob spoke highly of the friendship between the two countries and expressed admiration at China's great achievements under the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.

The president expressed his willingness to continue to support each other on the core interests and major concerns of the two countries, and jointly maintain the general situation of China-Africa friendship.

Bayinchaolu expressed appreciation for Geingob's firm position on maintaining China-Africa friendship. He also gave an introduction to Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.

He expressed willingness to work with the Namibian side to actively implement the important consensuses reached by the two heads of state and the results of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation and to jointly promote the construction of the Belt and Road.

Bayinchaolu also met with Vice President of the SWAPO Party Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, who is also Vice Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, and held talks with Sophia Shaningwa, the SWAPO Party's Secretary General.
