From April 14th to 17th, Li Jun, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, led a CPC delegation and visited Iraq. They met with leaders of major political parties including Hadi al-Ameri, Secretary General of the Badr Organization; Haider al-Abadi, leader of the Victory Alliance; Iyad Allawi, leader of Iraqi National Accord; and Nechirvan Barzani, Vice President of Kurdistan Democratic Party, as well as First Deputy Speaker Hasan Karim al-Kaabi, publicized and introduced Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era in an in-depth manner, and stressed that the Chinese side is willing to enhance inter-party exchanges with Iraq to inject inexhaustible impetus into the development of relations between the two countries.
