Song Tao Meets with Cadre Study Group of Mexican Ruling Coalition

Beijing, April 22nd—Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today with a cadre study group of Mexican ruling coalition headed by Yeidckol Polevnsky, President of the National Regeneration Movement.

Song said that the Chinese side has always viewed China-Mexico relations from a strategic and long-term perspective. At present, the two countries have enjoyed frequent high-level exchanges, with sound development momentum of cooperation in various fields. Exchange between political parties of the two countries plays an important guiding role in the development of bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership. The CPC is willing to further enhance dialogue and exchanges between ruling parties of the two countries, increase mutual learning, and jointly promote China-Mexico relations for long-term and stable development, so as to better benefit the two peoples.

Speaking positively of Mexico-China relations, Polevnsky expressed that the ruling party of Mexico stands ready to learn the CPC’s experience in state governance and administration in an in-depth manner, and enhance Mexico-China practical cooperation in various fields to push Mexico-China relations in the new era for greater development. Polevnsky said that the Mexican side highly values the Belt and Road Initiative proposed by President Xi Jinping. She also wished the upcoming second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation a complete success.

The cadre study group of Mexican ruling coalition consisted of National Regeneration Movement and Labor Party of Mexico.

Li Jun, Vice-minister of the IDCPC attended the meeting.
