President of Mozambique Meets with Song Tao

Beijing, April 25th-Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, President of the  Mozambique Liberation Front and President of Mozambique, who was in China for the second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, met here today on the morning with Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee.

Song said that President Xi Jinping's talks with President Nyusi were fruitful and pointed out the direction for the further development of bilateral relations and the relations between the two Parties. China-Mozambique relations are the unique advantage and important political foundation of relations between the two Parties and the two countries. With the common concern of top leaders of the two Parties, relations between both Parties have developed rapidly and entered the best period in history. China is ready to strengthen high-level exchanges with the Mozambique Liberation Front, deepen exchange of experience in governance and learn from each other, and actively lead implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative and the outcomes of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation in Mozambique to benefit the two peoples.

Nyusi said he had an extensive and in-depth exchange of views with President Xi on bilateral relations and international issues and reached satisfactory consensus. The Mozambique Liberation Front hopes to comprehensively deepen its relations with the CPC, learn from China's rich experience in state governance and administration, especially in party building, anti-corruption and poverty alleviation, further deepen Mozambique-China cooperation and push Mozambique-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership to a higher level.
