Beijing, May 8th—Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with Oppah Charm Zvipange Muchinguri, National Chairperson of Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front (ZANU PF) and Minister of Defence.

Song introduced Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and expressed that with the profound China-Zimbabwe all-weather friendship, the CPC and the ZANU PF have always maintained traditional friendship. Under the personal promotion of President Xi Jinping and President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, China-Zimbabwe relations were elevated to comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership in 2018. The CPC is willing to work with the ZANU PF to jointly implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, intensify high-level contacts of the two Parties, deepen experience exchanges and mutual learning in state governance and administration, push practical cooperation between the two countries and jointly lead China-Zimbabwe to maintain high-quality development.

Muchinguri thanked the Chinese side for the precious support for a long time, adding that the ZANU PF is willing to learn the CPC from its successful governance experience in an in-depth manner, strengthen exchanges between the two Parties in various fields such as state governance and administration, party construction, women and youth and push Zimbabwe-China relations for new development in the new era with the new outcomes in the cooperation between the two Parties.
