Beijing, May 6th—Guo Yezhou, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today on the morning with Peter Mandelson, Former First Secretary of State of the UK, President of the Great Britain China Center.

Guo made positive comments on China-UK relations and the exchanges between political parties of the two countries, saying that China is willing to strengthen exchanges and mutual learning of experience in state governance and administration with the UK and deepen cooperation within the framework of jointly building the Belt and Road Initiative to benefit the two peoples.

Mandelson said that the UK attaches great importance to its relations with China and hopes to actively participate in the building of the Belt and Road Initiative. The UK is ready to continue to work with China to well conduct the UK-China dialogue between political parties, strengthen exchanges between political parties of the two countries and promote the building of a "Golden Era" of UK-China relations.
