Beijing, May 22nd—Guo Yezhou, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with a cadre study group from political parties of ethnic minorities in Myanmar. The group consisted of 6 parties including Kachin State Democracy Party, Unity and Democracy Party of Kachin State, Lisu National Development Party, Arakan National Party, Shan Nationalities League for Democracy and Zomi Congress for Democracy.

Guo made positive comments on China-Myanmar relations, saying that the CPC is willing to strengthen exchanges with political parties of ethnic minorities in Myanmar and jointly promote cooperation within the Belt and Road framework to benefit the two peoples.

Political parties of ethnic minorities in Myanmar noted that they hope to enhance exchanges with the CPC and board the express train of China’s development to achieve common prosperity.
