Song Tao Meets with Delegation of Russian Presidential Executive Office

Beijing, May 30th—Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today with a delegation of Russian Presidential Executive Office headed by Seryshev Anatoly, Aide to the President.

Song said that this year marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Russia. Under the joint leadership of President Xi Jinping and President Vladimir Putin, bilateral relations have reached the highest level in history and played an important role in promoting the revitalization of respective countries and maintaining international peace and stability. The CPC is ready to deepen institutional exchanges with the United Russia and other major Russian political parties, and supports the Russian Presidential Executive Office in strengthening exchanges and cooperation with its Chinese counterpart, including learning each other's experience in cadre training and selection, so as to provide lasting impetus for the development of China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination.

Seryshev spoke highly of Russia-China relations and said the friendly exchanges between President Putin and President Xi set an example for officials at all levels to promote bilateral relations in the new era. The Russian side admires China's great achievements in economic and social development and believes that this is largely attributed to China's successful cadre team building. The Russian President Executive Office is ready to actively promote exchanges and coordination between various departments of the two sides and make new contributions to the greater development of Russia-China relations.
