Chongqing, June 2nd—Guo Yezhou, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today on the afternoon with a cadre study group of the ruling parties from Southeast Asia.

Guo said China is ready to work with ASEAN countries to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative and jointly safeguard the free, fair and rules-based multilateral trading system. The CPC is ready to strengthen exchanges and dialogue with the ruling parties of ASEAN countries.

The delegation said that the ruling parties of ASEAN countries support and are willing to actively participate in the Belt and Road cooperation and jointly safeguard the multilateral trading system. It looks forward to strengthening the multilateral exchanges and dialogue between the ruling parties of ASEAN countries and the CPC to push forward the continuous development of ASEAN-China relations.
