On June 25th, the 29th Wanshou Forum themed “Xi Jinping Thought on Diplomacy: Rising to the Profound Change of the World Today” was held in Beijing. The forum was hosted by the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC) and organized by the Communication University of China. Guo Yezhou, Vice-minister of the IDCPC, attended and addressed the forum.
Guo pointed out that the world is undergoing major changes unseen in a century. The CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core has deeply grasped of the features of the times, complied with the world development trend, had deep thinking and systematically answered the question of “how the world is changing, and what we should do”, thus forming Xi Jinping Thought on Diplomacy, responding to the concerns of the international community, and providing Chinese solutions to the common challenges facing humanity.
Nearly 100 representatives of political parties and think tanks from 20 countries and Chinese experts and scholars had in-depth exchanges on the topics such as “rising to the profound change of the world and exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations”, “Xi Jinping Thought on Diplomacy and the vision of a community with a shared future for humanity”, and “Xi Jinping Thought on Diplomacy and China's public diplomacy”, reaching extensive consensus.
