Guo Yezhou Meets with PCF Delegation

Beijing, July 28th—Guo Yezhou, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with a delegation of the French Communist Party (PCF) headed by Fabien Roussel, PCF National Secretary.

Guo said that currently, China-France relations have maintained sound and steady development at a high level and cooperation in various fields has been continuously promoted. The CPC attaches great importance to its traditional friendship with the PCF, and hopes that the two sides will further enhance mutual understanding, deepen exchange of ideas, strengthen mutual learning and promote the sustained and in-depth development of relations between the CPC and the PCF.

Roussel spoke positively of the tremendous development achievements made since the founding of the People's Republic of China 70 years ago, saying that the friendship between the two Parties enjoys a time-honored history and both sides will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of respective parties. We should review history, look to the future, and work together to safeguard world peace and advance the cause of human liberation.
