Song Tao Meets with IMP Secretary-General of Iran

Teheran, July 28th—Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with Asadollah Badamchian, Secretary-General of the  Islamic Motalefeh Party (IMP) of Iran.

Song congratulated Badamchian on his election as IMP Secretary-General and spoke highly of the unremitting efforts made by the IMP to promote the development of China-Iran relations. Song said that China-Iran friendship has a long history and the development of bilateral relations conforms to the fundamental interests of the two countries and peoples. In the spirit of seeking common ground while reserving differences, mutual respect and mutal learning, the CPC is ready to continuously deepen exchanges with the IMP, enhance China-Iran friendship and mutual trust, promote cooperation in various fields between the two countries and play an active role in building a community with a shared future for mankind. Song also introduced the CPC's education campaign under the theme of remaining true to the Party's original aspirations and keeping its mission firmly in mind.

Badamchian spoke highly of the concept of a community with a shared future for mankind and the achievements of the CPC in its governance.
