Song Tao meets with Sadeq Larijani, President of the Expediency Discernment Council

Song noted that both China and Iran boast long history and splendid civilization. China-Iran friendship enjoys a time-honored history. China's determination to develop China-Iran comprehensive strategic partnership will not change with the changing situation. The Chinese side would like to work with the Iranian side to follow through on the understandings reached by leaders of two countries and promote continuous, healthy and stable development of bilateral relations. The IDCPC is willing to enhance communication and cooperation with the Expediency Discernment Council and play an active part in deepening China-Iran political mutual trust, expanding pragmatic cooperation and strengthening the people-to-people bonds.

Sadeq and Rezaei spoke highly of bilateral relations, and expressed that the Iranian side would like to work with the Chinese side to follow through on a series of important consensuses reached by leaders of the two countries on developing bilateral relations for a greater progress in China-Iran comprehensive strategic partnership. The Expediency Discernment Council values friendly relations with the IDCPC and would like to further intensify bilateral exchanges and the exchange of experience in state governance and administration.
