Beijing, August 9th—Wang Yajun, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today at request with Vandy Bouthasavong, the outgoing Lao Ambassador to China.

Wang made positive comments on Vandy's contributions to the development of China-Laos relations during his tenure as Ambassador to China and hoped that he would continue to pay attention to China's economic and social development and make new and greater contributions to the friendly relations between the two Parties and the two countries and the development of the socialist cause of the two countries.

Vandy thanked the IDCPC’s support and assistance during his term of office, saying that he will continue to make efforts to promote the development of relations between the two Parties and the two countries, especially to build a Laos-China community of shared future.
