Guo Yezhou Meets with NRM Cadre Study Group

Beijing, August 19th—Guo Yezhou, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here in the afternoon with a cadre study group of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) of Uganda headed by Justine Lumumba Kasule, NRM General Secretary.

Guo said that President Xi Jinping and President Yoweri Museveni have met many times in recent years and reached important consensus, which has charted the course for the development of relations between the two Parties and the two countries. The CPC is ready to work with the NRM to actively implement the important consensus reached by the top leaders of the two Parties and countries, promote the implementation of the outcomes of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation and push forward the comprehensive cooperative partnership between China and Uganda for constant development.

Lumumba said that under the leadership of the top leaders of the two Parties and countries, Uganda-China relations have entered a new era. The NRM will continue to firmly support China's just position, further strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the CPC, learn from each other and elevate relations between the NRM and the CPC as well as between the two countries to new highs.
