On the afternoon of March 24th, the handover ceremony for the donation of anti-epidemic materials by the International Department of the CPC Central Committee(IDCPC) to the Council for the National Interest (CNI) of Iran was held at the Iranian Embassy in China. Zhu Rui, Assistant-minister of the IDCPC, and Mohammad Keshavarz Zadeh, Iranian Ambassador to China, attended the ceremony.

Speaking positively of China-Iran comprehensive strategic partnership and China-Iran cooperation in the fight against the epidemic, Zhu emphasized that Iran was one of the first countries to support and help China in fighting the epidemic. China also provided Iran with various forms of support and assistance. This shows that China-Iran friendship is deeply rooted in the hearts of the two peoples. The IDCPC has maintained good communication with the CNI. We are willing to express the CPC’s friendly feelings toward the Iranian people by donating anti-epidemic materials such as masks and medicines, and we are ready to continue to share the experience in fighting against the epidemic with Iran through inter-party channels and provide support within our ability to help Iran fight the epidemic.

Keshavarz Zadeh received the materials on behalf of the CNI. He thanked the IDCPC for providing medical supplies to the Iranian side, emphasizing that this reflects the friendship of the CPC to Iran. After the COVID-19 outbreak in Iran, China extended a helping hand at the most difficult time to Iran. Iran is grateful for this. Under the strong leadership of General Secretary Xi Jinping, the Chinese people have achieved a phased victory in the fight against the epidemic, and the Iranian side congratulates it and firmly believes that China will soon usher in a comprehensive victory. China's efforts to fight the epidemic have set a good example for countries around the world, provided valuable experience, and made positive contributions to safeguarding the lives and safety of the people around the world. The Iranian side condemns the United States and the West for attempting to stigmatize China through the epidemic, and condemns the United States for imposing illegal sanctions against Iran. Iran is willing to further learn China's experience, carry out anti-epidemic cooperation and jointly win the ultimate victory of the war against the epidemic.
