Wang Yajun Attends “Webinar for China-Vietnam Economic and Trade Investment and Cooperation in the Post-pandemic Era”

Beijing, November 17th—the Development Research Center (DRC) of the State Council, the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Commission for Economic Affairs of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), and the Commission for External Relations of the Central Committee of the CPV jointly held the webinar for China-Vietnam economic and trade investment and cooperation in the post-pandemic era. Ma Jiantang, Secretary of the Leading Party Members’ Group of the DRC, Wang Yajun, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, Zhang Laiming, Vice President of the DRC, Xiong Bo, Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam, Cao Duc Phat, Standing Deputy Head of the Commission for Economic Affairs of the Central Committee of the CPV, Nguyen Manh Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Commission for External Relations of the CPV Central Committee, Le Quoc Doanh, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development and Phạm Sao Mai, Vietnamese Ambassador to China were present. Both sides made in-depth exchanges of views on topics such as strengthening China-Vietnam economic and trade investment and cooperation in the post-pandemic era, especially trade cooperation in agricultural products, and China-Vietnam cooperation in the international division of labor and the global industrial chain.

Wang Yajun addressed the closing ceremony. He said that the world is undergoing major changes unseen in a century. The Chinese side is willing to, together with the Vietnamese side, implement the important consensus reached between General Secretary Xi Jinping and Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the CPV, enhance solidarity and cooperation, accelerate the integration of development strategy, and continuously explore cooperation potential, so as to write a new chapter of good-neighborly friendliness and cooperation between China and Vietnam.
