Qian Hongshan Attends the Opening Ceremony of Webinar on China’s Development and China-Europe Relations

Beijing, January 12th—Qian Hongshan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended and addressed here today the opening ceremony of Webinar on China’s Development and China-Europe Relations.

Qian spoke positively of China-Europe anti-epidemic cooperation, and major achievements in China-Europe relations made recently. Qian said the Chinese side is willing to, together with the European side, further strengthen mutual trust, deepen cooperation, and promote the long-term and stable relations of bilateral relations. Qian also briefed on the spirit of the fifth plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee.

Representatives of 12 left-wing political parties in Western Europe were present. Bierbaum, President of the Party of the European Left, Centella, President of the Communist Party of Spain, Köbele, Chairman of the German Communist Party,  Acerbo, National Secretary of Communist Refoundation Party of Italy, Ay, General Secretary of  the Communist Party of Switzerland, and Alboresi, Secretary of the Italian Communist Party congratulated the Communist Party of China on the upcoming 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC), spoke positively of China’s experience and achievements in fighting the COVID-19, and China’s contributions to the international community. They expressed the willingness to further enhance communication and cooperation with the CPC, promote bilateral cooperation in coping with major challenges facing the world and jointly push the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
