Guo Yezhou Attends the 175th Bergedorf Round Table

Beijing, March 26th—Guo Yezhou, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended and addressed here today the 175th Bergedorf Round Table organized by the Körber Foundation via video link.

Guo focused on introducing General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important statements on the reform of the global Internet governance system, and briefed on the main contents of the Global Initiative on Data Security proposed by China. Guo also emphasized that in the digital age, all countries should adhere to the principles of win-win cooperation and sharing benefits, openness and inclusiveness, mutual development and abandoning ideological prejudice, and jointly maintain a fair, just, open, and non-discriminatory environment for technological development, so as to promote further achievements in digital cooperation and global digital governance and work together to build a community with a shared future for mankind.

Nearly 40 political heavyweights, experts and scholars from Germany, France, the UK, the Netherlands, Estonia, Russia, the US, Israel and other countries conducted in-depth exchanges on the theme of “geopolitics in the context of digital transformation”.
