Beijing, April 27th—Shen Beili, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today on the afternoon at request with Carlos Miguel Pereira, Cuban Ambassador to China.

Shen congratulated on the successful convening of the 8th National Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba and expressed her belief that under the leadership of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba with Miguel Diaz-Canel as the First Secretary, the cause of socialism with Cuban characteristics will continue to make new achievements. China is willing to take the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC and the convening of the 18th CPC National Congress as an opportunity to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the Communist Party of Cuba and jointly promote the new development of relations between the two Parties and the two countries.

Pereira introduced the relevant situation of the 8th National Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba and said that Cuba is willing to work with China to promote the continuous and in-depth development of relations between the two Parties and the two countries.
