Beijing, April 29th—The International Department of the CPC Central Committee, CPC Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Committee and the Palang Pracharath Party (PPRP) of Thailand co-held here today on the afternoon the launching ceremony and symposium of poverty alleviation projects of political parties of China and Thailand via video link. Chen Zhou, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, Liu Xiaoming, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Committee, Yang Xin, Chargé D'affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Thailand, Thamanat Prompow, Deputy Agriculture and Cooperatives Minister and Deputy Party Leader of the PPRP, Narumonn Pinyosinwat from the PPRP and Deputy Labour Minister, Paiboon Nititawan, Deputy Party Leader of the PPRP, and Virat Ratanasate, Deputy Party Leader of the PPRP and Chairman of the Government Coordinating Council attended and addressed the function.

Chen mainly introduced the Chinese people’s achievements and experience in poverty alleviation under the leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core. He said, the CPC is willing to continue to strengthen experience exchanges and mutual learning on poverty alleviation with the PPRP, and carry out various cooperation in “political parties plus poverty alleviation”, so as to better benefit the two peoples.

Liu mainly introduced Guangxi’s experience and practice in winning the fight against poverty. Liu said Guangxi is willing to, together with the Thai side, enhance exchanges on experience of poverty alleviation and talents, and deepen practical cooperation in agriculture, tourism and cross-border e-commerce.

Thamanat conveyed Party Leader of the PPRP and First Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwan’s warm congratulations on the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC, and highly praised the great victory of poverty alleviation the Chinese people achieved under the leadership of the CPC. The PPRP hoped to further intensify friendly exchanges with the CPC, and expressed the willingness to carry out closer practical cooperation, to better benefit the two peoples.
