Beijing, December 20th－The International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC) held an online award ceremony for an essay competition themed on deepening experience exchange on state governance and administration and jointly ushering in a new era of China-Africa cooperation. Li Mingxiang, Assistant-minister of the IDCPC, attended and addressed the function. Over 80 youth representatives from more than 30 African countries were present.

Li highly commended the African youths’ deep thinking on exploring development paths suited to their national conditions and propelling China-Africa cooperation in the new era. He said, youth is the hope of China-Africa relations and carries the bright future of China-Africa relations, and is the inheritor and leading force of China-Africa friendship. The CPC is willing to continue to work with political parties in Africa, deepen communication and cooperation between the youth of both sides, carry forward the spirit of the friendly cooperation between China and Africa, constantly propel China-Africa relations for in-depth development and better benefit the two peoples.

Three representatives of awardees, including Axel Jesson Ayenoue, Deputy General Secretary of the Gabonese Democratic Party, spoke positively of the essay competition, and highly praised the CPC for its achievements over the past century and the fruitful results of cooperation between Africa and China. They said, under the leadership of the CPC, China has blazed a unique development path and scored huge achievements, which is worth learning for African countries. They expected that youth of both sides will strengthen exchange and cooperation in such areas as economy, people-to-people and culture engagement, and the fight against the epidemic, so as to actively contribute to the building of a China-Africa community with a shared future in the new era.
