Beijing, May 5th—Zhu Rui, Assistant-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, held a video call here today on the afternoon with Abir Moussi, President of the Free Constitutional Party of Tunisia. Thamer Saad, Member of the Political Bureau of the Party in charge of External Relations, Mohamed Karim, Member of the Political Bureau of the Party in charge of relations with organizations, associations and parties, Zhang Jianguo, Chinese Ambassador to Tunisia, and others were present.

Zhu spoke positively of the relations between the two countries and inter-party exchanges. He said, the CPC attaches importance to developing friendly cooperative relations with the Free Constitutional Party, and stands ready to further deepen concept exchange and mutual learning between the two Parties, strengthen media cooperation and youth exchange, boost practical cooperation between the two countries in various areas, and push China-Tunisia for comprehensive development through inter-party channels. Zhu also mainly introduced the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics and the Global Development Initiative.

Moussi spoke highly of the achievements of the CPC’s governance, praised the Global Development Initiative put forward by President Xi Jinping, and thanked the Chinese side for the selfless support in development, people’s livelihood, anti-epidemic and other aspects. She said, the Free Constitutional Party cherishes the friendly relations with the CPC, and is willing to further enhance exchange and cooperation between the two Parties, promote mutual learning of concept, practical cooperation and youth exchange, and actively contribute to propelling the development of Tunisia-China relations.

Zhang congratulated the two Parties on holding the first dialogue. He said, the exchanges between the political parties of the two countries provide strong support for the development of the relations between the two countries. It is hoped that both sides will further enhance exchange and mutual learning, and push practical cooperation between China and Tunisia in various fields for sustainable and healthy development.
