Zhu Rui Meets with Iranian Ambassador to China Mohammad Keshavarz Zadeh

Beijing, June 15th—Zhu Rui, Assistant-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today on the afternoon with Iranian Ambassador to China Mohammad Keshavarz Zadeh at request.

Zhu said, 2022 marks the beginning of the second 50-year development of China-Iran relations, and President Xi Jinping and President Ebrahim Raisi exchanged letters to chart the course of the future development of bilateral relations early this year. The IDCPC is willing to further deepen exchanges and cooperation with political parties, political organizations, government departments, think tanks and other institutions in Iran, to jointly implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, strengthen exchanges and mutual learning on people-centered philosophy, poverty alleviation, anti-corruption, global governance and other issues, and enhance political mutual trust and policy communication between China and Iran. Zhu also briefed the Iranian side on the Global Development Initiative and the Global Security Initiative.

Keshavarz Zadeh handed over a congratulatory letter from Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian to congratulate Liu Jianchao on his new post as Minister of the IDCPC. Keshavarz Zadeh expressed the Iranian side's willingness to further strengthen concept exchanges and strategic communication with the CPC. Keshavarz Zadeh spoke highly of China's historic achievements under the leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, and wished the 20th CPC National Congress a complete success. He stressed that Iran will always be a friend of China, firmly supports China on the issues related to Hong Kong, Xinjiang, Taiwan and other issues concerning China's core interests and major concerns. He expressed the Iranian side's willingness to strengthen cooperation with the Chinese side in international affairs to jointly oppose hegemonism and safeguard international justice and fairness.
