Liu Jianchao said, in recent years, China-Russia relations have enjoyed continuous and high-quality development, with bilateral cooperation carried out at a high level. General Secretary Xi Jinping and President Vladimir Putin have maintained close communication, charting the course for the development of bilateral relations and injecting confidence and strength into the joint efforts of the international community to cope with global challenges and promote the building of a fairer and a more equitable international order. China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination for a new era has stood the test of international vicissitudes, and become an example of international relations of honoring equality, cooperation, good faith and the rule of law.

Liu noted, the institutionalized exchanges between the CPC and the United Russia Party have enjoyed in-depth development and delivered substantive results, strongly supporting the sustainable development of China-Russia relations in the new era. The CPC is ready to, together with the United Russia Party, implement the important consensus of the two heads of state, continuously consolidate the political foundation of China-Russia strategic mutual trust, firmly support each other’s efforts in consolidating the ruling position and safeguarding national security, firmly safeguard the core interests of the two countries, strengthen communication and coordination in multilateral occasions and work to safeguard the common interests of the majority of countries in the international community. In the second half of the year, the CPC will hold the 20th CPC National Congress. The Chinese side is willing to inform the United Russia Party of the relevant situation of the congress after it ends in a timely manner and discuss together the new opportunities to further deepen the relations between the two Parties and countries.

Gryzlov said, the Russian and the Chinese sides have always supported each other on issues concerning each other's core interests and major concerns. The United Russia Party sees the CPC as one of the most important partners. The strong political mutual trust and efficient cooperation between both Parties totally conforms to the spirit of China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination for a new era. In the face of the complex international situation, the United Russia Party is willing to join hands with the CPC to take the important consensus of the two heads of state as the guidance, continuously deepen institutionalized exchanges between the two Parties, promote practical cooperation between the two countries in various areas, strengthen communication and coordination in international and regional organizations such as BRICS, advocate true multilateralism and jointly promote the building of the international order underpinned by the UN Charter and the international law.

Both sides also exchanged views on topics such as the current international situation.
