The CPC Delegation Presents a Flower Basket at the Memorial Statue of King Father Norodom Sihanouk

At the invitation of the Cambodian People's Party, Liu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, paid a friendly visit to Cambodia from August 23 with a CPC delegation. On the afternoon of August 23, accompanied by Hang Thol and Kem Sambath, vice chairmen of the External Relations Commission of the Cambodian People's Party, Liu Jianchao led all members of the delegation to present a flower basket at the memorial statue of King Father Norodom Sihanouk in Phnom Penh. Liu said, King Father Norodom Sihanouk is a close friend of the Chinese people and has made indelible contributions to the establishment and development of the cause of Cambodia-China friendship. This year coincides with the 100th anniversary of the birth and 10th anniversary of the death of King Father Norodom Sihanouk. In deep memory of King Father Norodom Sihanouk, the delegation makes visiting the memorial statue of King Father Norodom Sihanouk the first activity of the visit to Cambodia. Under the new situation, we are willing to work with the Cambodian side, continue the traditional friendship between China and Cambodia, and continue to promote the building of the China-Cambodia community with a shared future, so as to better benefit the two countries and the two peoples. The Cambodian side said, King Father Norodom Sihanouk sees China as his second home and has long been committed to the cause of Cambodia-China friendship.
