Chen said, the iron-clad friendship between China and Pakistan carries great strategic significance under the current international and regional situations. This year marks the tenth anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) proposed by General Secretary Xi Jinping. China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is a flagship project of the BRI. The IDCPC is ready to actively promote exchanges between the political parties and think tanks of China and Pakistan as well as non-governmental exchanges, in a bid to contribute to the high-quality development of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and consolidating China-Pakistan All-weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership. Chen also introduced the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress in an in-depth way.

Mustafa once again congratulated on the successful convening of the 20th CPC National Congress, and President Xi Jingping's election as the General Secretary of the CPC Committee. He said the Pakistani side is willing to take the tenth anniversary of the BRI as an opportunity to boost the construction of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and Pakistan-China relations for new and greater development.
