Li Mingxiang Meets with a Delegation of Young Leaders of Political Parties of Portuguese Speaking Countries in Africa

Beijing, March 30th—Li Mingxiang, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today with a delegation of young leaders of political parties of Portuguese speaking countries in Africa.

Li positively commented on the achievements of China-Africa friendly cooperation in the past decade of the new era, appreciated the youth's contributions to the development of China-Africa relations, and encouraged the young people of Chinese and African political parties to join hands in inheriting the lasting friendship between China and Africa. Li also promoted the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress centering around the Chinese path to modernization.

Paulo Pombolo, Member of the Politburo of the People's Movement for the Liberation of Angola (MPLA) and Deputy of the National Assembly of Angola delivered a speech on behalf of the African side. He said, African youth witnessed China's great transformation over the past decade in the new era, and believed that a Chinese path to modernization will surely bring new opportunities for the development of countries all over the world. African political parties are willing to deepen exchanges on modernization experience with the CPC to help with their own modernization practice.
