Qian Hongshan Meets with Candith Mashego-Dlamini, Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of South Africa

Beijing, May 25th—Qian Hongshan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today on the morning with a delegation led by Candith Mashego-Dlamini, Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of South Africa.

Qian spoke highly of the relations between the two Parties and China and South Africa. He said, the Chinese side is willing to work with South African side to actively implement the important consensus reached by President Xi Jinping and President Cyril Ramaphosa, take the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and South Africa and South Africa's hosting of the 15th BRICS Summit as an opportunity to give active play to the platform of "political party + practical cooperation", and promote the in-depth and solid development of cooperation between the two countries in various fields. Qian also introduced the themed education campaign on learning and implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era.

On behalf of the South African side, Mashego-Dlamini congratulated General Secretary Xi Jinping on his election as the General Secretary of CPC Central Committee and President of China again. She stressed that South Africa attaches great importance to developing relations with China, thanked the Chinese side for the long-term support and assistance to the development of South Africa and Africa, expressed the hope to learn from China's successful experience in economic development, reform of state-owned enterprises, and attracting foreign investment, and welcomed Chinese enterprises for investment and development in South Africa.
