Liu said, recent years have witnessed close exchanges between leaders of China and Iran, with new development continuously in relations between the two countries. The two sides signed a comprehensive cooperation plan with rich content, and have firmly supported each other on issues involving each other's core interests. Iran has a special influence on regional affairs. The Chinese side supports Iran in playing its role in maintaining regional peace and stability, and is willing to work with the Iranian side to practice true multilateralism, adhere to the basic principles of global governance of extensive consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits, respect and maintain the authority and status of the United Nations, and safeguard international fairness and justice and Asia’s lasting security.

In recent years, we have maintained friendly exchanges with political parties and political organizations such as the Expediency Discernment Council (EDC), Strategic Council on Foreign Relations, and Islamic Motalefe Party. We are ready to carry out exchanges and cooperation with Iran's Supreme National Security Council, implement the consensus reached by the two heads of state, communicate on foreign affairs and international and regional situations, adhere to a comprehensive security concept, and implement the Global Security Initiative.

Ahmadian said, I visited China as a member of the EDC delegation this May, and was deeply impressed by China's rapid development. Iran regards developing relations with China as a diplomatic priority. There is broad consensus from all walks of life of Iran on actively cooperating with China. No matter how the international and regional situations change, the Iranian side will be firmly committed to deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.

The Iranian side thanked the Chinese side for upholding fairness and justice in international affairs, and applauded the Chinese side for upholding justice on the Palestinian-Israeli issue in the United Nations Security Council. Believing all countries have the right to realize their own development on the basis of the principle of independence, the Iranian side spoke highly of China's efforts in Chinese modernization, adherence to the path of peaceful development, respect for the sovereignty of all countries, and non-interference in other countries' internal affairs. The Iranian side is willing to continue close multilateral coordination with the Chinese side, work together to deal with risks and challenges, and promote regional peace and stability.

The two sides also exchanged views on international and regional security issues.
