Li Mingxiang Meets with a Delegation of Sudan People's Liberation Movement of South Sudan

Beijing, December 14th—Li Mingxiang, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today on the afternoon with a delegation led by Santo Malek Anai, Secretary for Political Affairs, Mobilization and Organization of Sudan People's Liberation Movement of South Sudan.

Li spoke positively of China-South Sudan relations, saying that no matter how the international situation changes, the two countries have always understood and supported each other, writing a splendid chapter of South-South cooperation. The CPC is willing to work with the Sudan People's Liberation Movement to jointly implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, maintain the momentum of exchanges at all levels, strengthen experience exchange in state governance and administration, promote practical cooperation between the two countries in various fields through inter-party channels, and promote China-South Sudan relations for continuous development.

Santo said, South Sudan attaches great importance to developing relations with China, thanks China for speaking up for South Sudan at the United Nations and other international occasions for a long time, and will continue to firmly support the Chinese side on the Taiwan question and other issues involving China's core interests. More Chinese companies are welcome to invest and start business in South Sudan to help its development and construction. The Sudan People's Liberation Movement is ready to deepen exchanges and cooperation in various fields with the CPC, and learn concepts and experience in party building and poverty alleviation from the CPC to better benefit the people of the two countries.
