Liu said, China and the Netherlands enjoy active exchanges at all levels and in all fields. The two peoples share friendly feelings. The CPC maintains communication and exchanges with political parties, think tanks, civil society and other sectors of society of the Netherlands to better understand each other's domestic and foreign policies and promote closer cooperation between China and the Netherlands. Calling China and Europe partners rather than rivals, Liu called on both sides to develop relations independently. It is hoped that the Netherlands will continue to play a constructive role in the European Union (EU), help the EU adhere to open cooperation, jointly oppose decoupling and severing industrial and supply chains, and promote China-EU relations for sustained, stable and healthy development.

Haspels said, the Netherlands admires China's development achievements. The Netherlands attaches great importance to developing relations with China and is willing to strengthen high-level exchanges with the Chinese side, enhance exchanges and dialogues at different levels, and properly handle differences and issues. The economies of the Netherlands and China are highly complementary. It is hoped that both sides will strengthen cooperation in economy, trade, agriculture, tourism, climate change and other fields, and help companies of the Netherlands invest in China. The Embassy of the Netherlands in China hopes to have extensive contact with the Chinese government, political party and all sectors of society to promote cooperation between political parties, think tanks and people-to-people and cultural exchanges, so that the people of the Netherlands can better understand China and deepen the friendship between the Netherlands and China. The Netherlands supports the EU and China in strengthening cooperation, and is willing to actively promote the development of EU-China relations.
