On the afternoon of July 15th, Guo Yezhou, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended the opening ceremony of “Neighborhood Party Time: Experience Exchange of Regular Epidemic Prevention and Control and Work Resumption between China and Indonesia”. Wang Yubo, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee and President of the Party School of CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee, and Muhaimin Iskandar, Chairman of the National Awakening Party and Deputy Speaker of the People’s Consultative Assembly of Indonesia, attended and addressed the meeting. 

Guo introduced China’s achievements in epidemic prevention and control and socio-economic development. He expressed the CPC’s readiness to work with the Indonesian National Awakening Party to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, strengthen the exchange of experience in state governance and administration, and deepen cooperation in the fight against COVID-19 and under the Belt and Road Initiative, thus contributing to the economic and social development of the two countries and promoting regional stability and prosperity.

Muhaimin spoke highly of the relations between the two Parties and the two countries. He appreciated China’s achievements in the fight against COVID-19 and the important role China has played in promoting international anti-pandemic cooperation. He also looked forward to deepening exchanges and cooperation between the two Parties to promote new progress in Indonesia-China relations.

The three-day event is attended by more than 100 people including leading officials from the Central Committee of the Indonesian National Awakening Party and local party departments of various provinces, cities and counties. The two sides will have in-depth exchanges epidemic prevention and control, resumption of work and production, poverty alleviation and international cooperation fighting against the epidemic.
