Beijing, August 26th—Qian Hongshan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with Andrey Denisov, Russian Ambassador to China.

Qian first handed a congratulatory letter from Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Chinese President, on the 8th meeting of China-Russia dialogue mechanism between ruling parties. Speaking positively of the high-level and strategic relations between the two parties and two countries amid the COVID-19, Qian said, the CPC is willing to further institutionalize the exchanges with major political parties in Russia, comprehensively implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, and make greater contributions to the in-depth development of China-Russia relations in the new era.

Denisov said, Russia-China relations have withstood the test of the severe epidemic. We have further pushed comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination and maintained high-level cooperation in various areas. Russia is satisfied with the fruitful results in the intensified exchanges between political parties of both sides. Russian Embassy in China is willing to continue to play an active part in deepening exchanges between political parties of both countries.
