Zhu Rui Attends Opening Ceremony of Webinar for Cadres of Union Pour la Repubilque of Mauritania

Beijing, August 26th—Zhu Rui, Assistant Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC) attended the opening ceremony of webinar for cadres of Union for the Republic (UPR) of Mauritania and delivered a speech. Zhang Jianguo, Chinese Ambassador to Mauritania and Yahya Ould Ahmed El Waghef, Vice Chairman of the UPR also attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.

Zhu Rui, on behalf of Song Tao, Minister of the IDCPC, and the IDCPC, congratulated on the opening of webinar, and spoke positively of the relations between the two parties and the two countries and their cooperation in fighting the COVID-19. Zhu Rui expressed, the CPC is willing to work with the UPR to give play to the political guidance of exchanges between the ruling parties, deepen exchanges of experience in state governance and administration, promote the development of China-Mauritania relations, and advance the construction of an even closer China-Africa community with a shared future. He also focused on the main contents and the global significance of the third volume of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China.

Waghef praised China for helping Mauritania cope with the challenge of the epidemic, which has set an example of human solidarity and mutual assistance. Waghef expressed, the UPR is willing to strengthen friendly and experience exchanges with the CPC and further consolidate the historical friendly relations between Mauritania and China. Waghef stressed, the Mauritanian side supports the Chinese side in responding to unfair accusations against China’s political system.

The webinar will also carry out in-depth exchanges on the leading role of the ruling party in containing the COVID-19 and promoting economic and social development in a coordinated way, building of the ruling party, and poverty alleviation.
