Li Mingxiang Attends the Opening Ceremony of the Online Seminar for the NPP Cadres of Ghana

September 15th—Li Mingxiang, Assistant-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended here today the opening ceremony ofthe online seminar for the cadres of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of Ghana and delivered a speech via videolink. On behalf of Minister Song Tao and the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, Li congratulated the opening of the seminar and introduced the main content and world significance of the third volume of “Xi Jinping: The Governance of China”, as well as China’s overall promotion of epidemic prevention and control as well as economic and social development. In the face of a global outbreak, the CPC is willing to work with the NPP to take the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries as an opportunity to give play to the political leading role of exchanges between the ruling parties, deepen exchanges of experience in state governance and administration, and promote cooperation in various fields between the two countries, so as to make positive contributions to building a China-Africa health community and a closer China-Africa community with a shared future.

Freddie Blay, NPP National Chairman, spoke highly of the relationship between the two Parties and the two countries in the video speech. He praised that under the leadership of General Secretary Xi Jinping, China has achieved major strategic achievements in the domestic fight against COVID-19 and played a leading role in global anti-epidemic cooperation. The NPP appreciates the Chinese side’s strong support for Ghana’s fight against the epidemic, and is willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the CPC to continuously deepen the cooperation between the two countries on bilateral and global issues.

The three-day seminar will involve more than 30 senior and middle-level cadres from the NPP. The two sides will have in-depth exchanges on the overall promotion of epidemic prevention and control, economic and social development, Party building, and China-Africa relations in the new era.
