Beijing, September 28th—Guo Yezou, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, held video exchanges with Daniel José Micallef, Deputy Leader of the Malta Labour Party (MLP), here on the afternoon.

Guo congratulated the MLP on its 100th anniversary and briefed on the CPC’s efforts to lead the Chinese people in coordinating epidemic prevention and control and economic and social development. He said that the CPC is willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the MLP to promote the development of China-Malta relations and China-Europe relations.

Micallef spoke highly of China’s achievements in preventing and controlling the epidemic and promoting economic and social development. He said that the MLP will continue to strengthen exchanges with the CPC and promote pragmatic cooperation between Malta and China under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, to promote the development of Europe-China relations and better benefit the two peoples.
